Police beating Maharajganj MP Janardan Sigriwal after chasing him.
Police lathi-charged BJP leaders and workers who were marching against the government in the Bihar Assembly. Many leaders and workers were injured in the police beating. On the other hand, a BJP leader died. Many leaders including Leader of Opposition Vijay Sinha reached the party office. Tributes were paid to the deceased BJP worker there.
The police also beat and pushed Maharajganj MP Janardan Sigriwal with sticks. He got injured in this. He has suffered injuries on his head and face. Janardan Singh Sigriwal is admitted in Private Ward-1 of IGIMS. He has had a CT scan. Brain is normal. The MP has got Y security. His security personnel were also present at the time of the beating.
The police tried to stop the BJP leaders and workers at Dakbungalow crossing. When they did not agree, first showered water from the water canon. Released tear gas shells. Then ran and beat. BJP workers pelted stones. Police was attacked with pepper spray.

Had head injury, died in hospital
Jehanabad General Secretary Vijay Kumar Singh was badly beaten by the police. He was admitted to the nursing home. There was a serious head injury. He was taken to PMCH in critical condition from there, where he died. Sushil Modi said that our women workers were also beaten up.
Tributes were paid to the BJP leader at the party office after his death during the lathicharge.

More than 11 BJP leaders injured
There was a scuffle between BJP Bihar state president Samrat Chowdhary and the police involved in the demonstration. Assembly coordinator Dr. Sanjay Mishra was beaten by tearing his shirt. He said that even the women were not spared by the police. More than 11 injured leaders and workers are admitted in PMCH. The police took several leaders including Samrat Chaudhary into custody. Took everyone in the bus. later abandoned. BJP has demanded the resignation of CM Nitish Kumar. Tomorrow BJP will march to Raj Bhavan.

After the death of BJP leader Vijay Singh, the police gave its clarification. Patna SSP Rajeev Mishra told that there was no permission to protest, but despite that BJP leaders protested there. He said that the footage of the deceased Vijay Singh at around 1.30 pm has come to the fore, in which he was seen breaking the barricade and going towards Chajju Bagh from Gandhi Maidan. The deceased was found unconscious in Chhajju Bagh. Some people mistook him for dead and took him to Tara Hospital. Later PMCH was referred after the situation worsened, where he died during treatment. There were no external injury marks on his body.
