Actually, the HC was hearing on the production warrant to bring Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim to Punjab. The public prosecutor said that Ram Rahim will be brought to Punjab by air. To this the HC remarked that the Punjab government could not handle what happened during the PM’s visit. In such a situation, if Dera chief Ram Rahim is brought, then how will the situation be handled.
Public prosecutor gave security arguments
During the hearing, the High Court said that Ram Rahim is a VIP, who will be brought by air? Is he even above the prime minister? The government’s counsel before Justice Arvind Sangwan said that the stay on the production warrant of the Dera chief should be quashed. Ram Rahim will be brought to Punjab by helicopter. 35,000 police personnel will be deployed for security. However, the HC did not agree to this and did not lift the stay on the production warrant. The next hearing of the case will now take place on April 21.

A case of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib is registered against Dera Sacha Sauda chief in Faridkot. Rohtak wants to bring jailed Dera chief Ram Rahim to Punjab. For this, the production warrant was issued by the Faridkot court. Ram Rahim filed a petition against this in the High Court. The High Court stayed the production warrant. The hearing of the same petition was held on Thursday. In this case, the Punjab Police has interrogated the Dera chief in Rohtak jail. There is pressure on the Punjab government to resolve the matter before the elections. That is why an attempt was being made to create an election environment by bringing Ram Rahim to Punjab.

The intention behind bringing in the Dera chief of the Congress government of Punjab is also to create an election atmosphere with the sacrilege case. So far the government has not taken any action in the sacrilege case. Only the investigation is going on.
