PM Modi inaugurates Biotech Startup Expo: This will make it easy to connect entrepreneurs, investors, scientists and government officials

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Biotech Startup Expo 2022 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi today. On this occasion, PM Modi said that India’s bio-economy has increased 8 times in the last 8 years. We have grown from $10 billion to $80 billion. India is not too far from reaching the league of top-10 countries in the global ecosystem of biotech.

The theme of the expo is ‘Biotech Startup Innovation: Towards a self-reliant India’. The two-day event will continue till June 10. The expo will serve as a platform to connect entrepreneurs, investors, scientists, researchers, manufacturers and government officials.

Around 300 stalls were set up
Around 300 stalls have been set up at Biotech Startup Expo 2022. In which the use of biotechnology will be displayed in various fields including health care, genomics, biopharma, agriculture, industrial biotechnology, clean energy.
