Comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi’s controversial comedy show came on 1 February.

Famous comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi had a comedy show named Bas Kar Bassi in February this year. In which he made a comment about the lawyers.

Advocate Farhat Warsi filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding this. He demanded action against Anubhav for mocking the lawyer and the law.

A hearing was held on this issue in the Supreme Court on Monday. The court rejected the petition and reprimanded the petitioner saying – you have nothing else to do.

What happened during the court hearing?
A bench of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia said that the court is not inclined to entertain the petition against any one comic show.

Court’s comment What is this? Why should we listen to a stand-up comedy show? Get something better.

Argument of the petitioner- Bassi has insulted the lawyer community in his show and some action should be taken against him.

Court’s comment You don’t have to worry about the whole community. You see yours.

After this the court while issuing the order said – We did not find anything in the writ petition. Hence, it is rejected.

Now know what was in the comedy video…
Warsi’s petition cited a YouTube video titled Bas Kar Bassi. In which the stand-up comedian spoke about his early years as a law graduate and his experience of being a young lawyer.

The petitioner said that Bassi created a negative image of the lawyer community.
