The Prime Minister said that in 2014, only 2 percent ethanol was mixed with petrol. At present 10 percent ethanol is being mixed. This will reduce carbon emissions by about 2.6 million tons. Besides, the income of farmers will also increase by Rs 40,000 crore.

As well The Prime Minister also said that the use of solar energy has increased by about 16 percent. Besides, organic farming is also being encouraged on the banks of the Ganges. He said We will create a huge corridor of organic farming. It will not only cultivate chemical free vegetables, it will also spread the message of Namami Ganga.
