If you are a citizen of Delhi and do not have a valid Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUC), then you will not get petrol and diesel from October 25. This is to say of Gopal Rai, Environment Minister of Delhi Government. The Delhi government has taken this decision to check the increasing pollution in the capital during the upcoming winter season. For this, a 15-point Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) and Winter Action Plan have been prepared in Delhi, which will be strictly implemented.

For this, a green war room has been set up in the Delhi Secretariat, which will work 24 hours a day. These war rooms will be launched from October 3. For this, all Gopal Rai has alerted all the departments of the Ministry of Environment. He said that the implementation of GRAP in the areas of NCR does not show seriousness. We will increase public participation through Green Delhi App.

Campaign against pollution in Delhi from 6th October
According to Gopal Rai, Anti Dust Campaign will be started in Delhi from 6th October against pollution caused by dust. For this, it is mandatory to register construction sites of more than 500 square meters on the web portal. Apart from this, it is necessary to install smog guns at sites more than five thousand square meters. He further said that whatever private agencies work for the prevention of pollution, they should prepare for it.

Spraying of bio decomposer will start on October 10
The Environment Minister said that the Delhi government has been preparing for this since the beginning of the year. In March, we had sought suggestions from many agencies. On May 2, the suggestions had come. On September 29, preparations have been started after meeting with the departments of Transport, Environment, Police etc. He further said that on October 10, spraying of bio-decomposer would be started in the capital. Its spraying will be done in five thousand acres. According to the minister, last year there was an incident of stubble burning from Narela Bawana, Mundka area. There is no plan for odd-even right now – Gopal Rai
Gopal Rai said that there is no plan for the odd-even system in Delhi yet. The government will decide if it is needed. The government will focus on GRAP. According to Rai, GRAP will be implemented in Delhi on the basis of AQI. He said that if the AQI remains between 200-300, then there will be strict adherence to the dust generated from the construction, waste management will have to be done, there will be an order to stop the generator set.

Apart from this, if the AQI is 300-400, the diesel set will have to be stopped, parking fees will have to be increased, orders will be given to increase the metro fare. Vehicles coming from outside will be banned if the AQI is 400-500. More stringent measures will be taken if it is more than 450. There is no odd-even in this, the government will decide if it is needed.
