Paper stamps abolished in Punjab: Government launches e-stamps; 35 crores being spent on printing will be saved

Paper stamp papers have been abolished in Punjab. Instead, only e-stamps will run. The Aam Aadmi Party government has started this. Due to the elimination of paper stamps, there will be a saving of Rs 35 crores being spent on printing. Punjab Revenue Minister Brahmshankar Zimpa confirmed this.

Earlier there were only more than 20 thousand e-stamps
The introduction of e-stamp has already started in Punjab. However, then only e-stamps of more than 20 thousand were available. The rest of the paperwork had to be taken. Now the government has started e-stamps from Re 1 only. In this, people can use it by taking a printout from the computer.

2% commission to stamp dealers
Minister Zimpa said that this e-stamp notification has been issued. Now, on the stamp of Re 1 to Rs 19,999, the stampede will get 2% commission. Common people will not have to pay any different price. If a stamp of Rs 100 is taken, then people will have to pay only Rs 100. The commission will be given by the government. Earlier, the stamp frosh used to take extra money from the people. Due to which there was a possibility of misappropriation.
