Infection rate below two in Uttarakhand-Manipur

  • The number of active patients in Uttarakhand and Manipur are 2,022 and 346 respectively. Here the infection rate is 1.7 and 1.8 percent respectively.
  • In Uttarakhand, 1,478 tests are being conducted daily. Whereas, 653 people are being investigated in Manipur.
Less investigation in Punjab than in UP

There are 9,425 active patients in Punjab. On January 6, 2,738 cases have increased here. There was also a death. Corona investigation of 802 people is being done daily. It is less than UP. However, the weekly infection rate of Corona here is 4.9% higher than that of UP, Manipur and Uttarakhand.

Infection growing at 44.31 percent in UP

  • Third most serious state in the whole country
  • During the last two weeks in UP, cases of infection are seen increasing at a rate of 44.31 percent. UP ranks third in the increasing cases of corona in the whole country. In the first place P. Bengal is with 63.44%. Punjab has registered a growth rate of 42.34, Uttarakhand 28.81, Manipur 7.65 and Goa 27.29%.
Vaccination of one-third of population in UP, Punjab

In UP and Punjab, one-third of the population has completed vaccination by taking both doses of the corona vaccine. 67 per cent of the population across the country has completed vaccination. On an average, 78 lakh people are being given vaccine doses every day.

Where many voters vaccinated

  • UP: 89.35 percent to first dose, more than 52 percent to both doses
  • Punjab: 81.9 percent got first dose and 45.6% got second dose
  • Uttarakhand: 99.67 percent first and 82.39 percent both
  • Goa: More than 95.8% people have taken both doses
  • Manipur: 59.6 percent first dose and 44.8% second dose
The figures are as of 7 January 2022. More than 15 crore people in five states have been given both doses of the initiative and more than 9 crore people.
