The Bhadas Panchayat of Kapurthala district of Punjab has issued decrees ranging from marriages to crackdown on drugs. After marriage, when the bride comes to her parents’ home for auspicious ceremony, many times many people from her in-laws’ house come along. The panchayat has imposed restrictions on this too.
