A Pakistani national living illegally in Pune has been arrested. Mohammad Aman Ansari, 22, was living here for the last 8 years. The Special Cell of the police caught him from Khadak area. Along with fake Pakistani passport, Indian passport has also been found from Ansari. According to the police, he used it to travel abroad.

At the same time, after the arrest of Ansari, the investigating agencies have been alerted. Police suspect that he has been involved in many terrorist activities in India. However, the police is probing the matter. It is being told that Ansari was living in Bhavani Peth, Pune since 2015.

Police has taken action against him on the basis of intelligence. Information was received that a Pakistani infiltrator was living illegally near Churaman Talim in Bhawani Peth. On information, the police laid siege and caught Ansari near Chudaman Talim Chowk.

When he was taken into custody and searched, a fake passport was found from him. During interrogation, it was revealed that he had traveled till Dubai using this passport. The agencies are alert after getting the news of going abroad and are busy in knowing his plans.

Police engaged in investigation
Khadak police station has registered a case against Ansari under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act-1946 and the Passport Act. Police is trying to find out what he was doing in Pune all these years and what were his motives. Along with this, efforts are also being made to know whether he was involved in terrorist activities.
