A one-year-old child, who was referred from the civil hospital in Haryana’s Jind, died on the way. Relatives told that EMT was not present in the ambulance nor was there a complete system of oxygen. After the complaint, now the Health Department is talking about investigating the matter.

Sunil, a resident of Krishna Colony of Jind, had brought his 1-year-old son Mahesh to the civil hospital for treatment due to respiratory problems. Seeing Mahesh’s condition critical, doctors referred him to PGIMS Rohtak. An ambulance was also provided by the Health Department to take them to PGI. By law, it is necessary to have an EMT with the patient in an ambulance, but the driver alone left for Rohtak with the ambulance.

Oxygen ran out on the way

Father Sunil alleged that the oxygen ran out on the way and when he told the driver about it, he tried, but could not succeed. During this time his child died. On which he came back to the civil hospital with his child. Standing outside the emergency, expressing anger, complained to the health officials.

Dr Jai Kumar Mann, the nodal officer of the Civil Hospital Referral Service, said that the matter has come to his notice. He will find out why the EMT didn’t go along. The allegations that have been made will be investigated.
