Oscar Nominations 2023: RRR’s Naatu Naatu Nominated For Best Original Song, Check Full List

New Delhi: The 95th Academy Awards nominations has been announced. Given that we have not one, but three Oscar contenders this year, India has a fair stake in the Academy Awards.

Weeks after taking home the Golden Globe, the ‘RRR’ song ‘Naatu Naatu’ has been nominated for an Oscar in 2023 for Best Original Song. ‘All That Breathes’, a documentary by Shaunak Sen, has been nominated for the Best Documentary Oscar at the 2023 Academy Awards after receiving a BAFTA 2023 nomination. Also, the Netflix documentary ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ from India has been nominated for Best Documentary Short.

Actors Alison Williams and Riz Ahmed made the nominations announcement this year.

There are 23 categories in which contenders have been nominated for the 95th Academy Awards, including best picture, best director, best original and adapted screenplay, actor and actress in lead and supporting roles, best song, best score, and crafts categories like cinematography, production design, sound, film editing, and visual effects.

Meanwhile, more than 200 nations will watch ABC’s live broadcast of the 95th Academy Awards from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles. Jimmy Kimmel will serve as the host of the award ceremony, which will take place on March 12.
