Junagadh district of Gujarat has been receiving torrential rains for the last two days. In the last 24 hours, 20 inches of rain has been recorded here. This has worsened the situation in Osa Ghed village and nearby villages of Mangrol taluka. The flood water in Ojat river has entered more than 15 villages. Due to this, Osa Ghed village has turned into an island. Two NDRF teams from Junagadh have reached the village for rescue.

Yesterday, two youths coming from Bala village to Osa were caught in the flood, who were saved by the villagers in time. More than 20 people are still trapped in the village, whose rescue is being done. Porbandar MP Ramesh Dhaduk also reached the village in JCB and took stock of the situation while helping the villagers.

10 people died in 30 hours
In Gujarat, 10 people have died due to heavy rains in the last 30 hours. Heavy rains have created a flood-like situation in Junagadh, Kutch, Jamnagar, Valsad, Mehsana, Surat and Navsari districts of the state. Here SDRF and Airforce have been deployed in rescue and relief operations.
