Dental health brand Oral-B has showcased three new smart toothbrushes at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show. The new smart toothbrushes–iO4, iO5 and iO10– have been announced under the iO line and can connect with an iPhone to give the user personalised health data like real-time feedback, pressure control, built-in brushing timer and more. The company had introduced the iO line in 2020.
The Oral-B iO4 and iO5 are the entry level models and then there is the iO10 which is the more advanced of the three. The company plans to launch them in early 2022. The iO4 and iOS5 are expected to be priced under $100. They will come in the colour options of White, Black, Pink, Blue, and Lavender. The iO10 will come in two colour options: Cosmic Black and Stardust White
When it comes to the iPhone connectivity, the thing to note is that you wouldn’t have to take your iPhone to the bathroom to use the iO toothbrush. The charging base of the toothbrush would display the brushing time, pressure, and coverage. The data thus recorded after the brushing session would sync with the Oral-B app on your iPhone.

Oral-B iO10 smart toothbrush: 7 cleaning modes, pressure-sensitivity alert
The IO10 with the iO-sense technology comes with seven cleaning modes like Daily Clean, Sensitive, Super Sensitive, Intense, Whiten, Gum Care, and Tongue Clean. When you are brushing too hard, the pressure sensor will display a red light to alert you; when the pressure is too light, it will display white and will show a green light when you are brushing your teeth with the right amount of pressure.
Oral-B has put up a waitlist for the iO10 smart toothbrush on its website to help notify those interested in the model when it launches.
