The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, released the SSC CHSL Notification 2022 on its website. The notification also announced the tentative dates SSC CHSL Recruitment 2022.
The SSC CHSL Recruitment 2022 aims to fill over 45,000 ‘Group C’ posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, and Data Entry Operators across various Ministries, Departments and Offices of the Government of India.
Immediately after the release of the notification, online application submission process for the SSC CHSL Recruitment also began. Interested candidates can submit their SSC CHSL 2022 Application online on the official SSC website – ssc.nic.in. Candidates are advised to go through the SSC CHSL 2022 Notification thoroughly before applying.

The last date to apply for the SSC CHSL Recruitment is January 4, 2023. Applications are to be made in the online mode only. After the closure of the SSC CHSL 2022 Online Application process, an application correction window will be opened from January 9 to January 10, 2023.
The Application Fee for SSC CHSL Recruitment is Rs.100. However, female candidates and candidates belonging from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) categories are exempted from payment of application fee.
SSC CHSL Recruitment 2022: Selection Procedure
Candidates applying for the SSC CHSL Recruitment 2022 for over 45,000 vacancies will be shortlisted based on their performances in written tests. Notably, the SSC CHSL Exam 2022 will be conducted in the CBT mode in two stages: Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Candidates who qualify the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam 2022 will be eligible to appear for the SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam 2022. As per the official SSC notification, the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam 2022 will be conducted in February or March 2023. The tentative dates of the SSC CHSL Tier 1 and Tier 2 Exams 2022 are likely to be notified soon on SSC’s website.
However, for the post of Lower Division Clerk in Border Roads Organization (BRO), will also have to go through the Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standards Test and Medical Standard Test.

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2022: How To Apply?
- Visit the official SSC website – ssc.nic.in
- Register on the SSC portal furnishing your basic details or login to the portal using your credentials if already registered
- Click on the “Apply” button on the homepage
- On the new page, select ‘CHSL’
- Click on the “Apply” button next to ‘Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination 2022’
- Fill in the application form
- Upload Photo and Signature
- Pay the Application Fee online or download the challan
- Submit the application
- Download and save a copy of the submitted application for future reference
