Chinese tech giant OnePlus has officially announced the launch date of its first foldable flagship phone — the OnePlus Open. The OnePlus Open will be launched on October 19 in the India and globally.

Thee first foldable device from OnePlus will be competing with Samsung’s flagship foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 5. In terms of pricing, leaks suggested that OnePlus Open’s price in India is expected to be around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.2 lakh (cheaper than Fold 5). In terms of specifications, the OnePlus Open will be powered by a Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon Gen 2 chipset with 12GB RAM. The first foldable from OnePlus is expected to come with a 2K AMOLED inner display and a high-quality outer screen as well that should offer 120Hz refresh rate.

The company is expected to continue with its Hasselblad association for the cameras on the Open. The OnePlus Open is said to feature a large circular camera module with Hasselblad-backed cameras. As per 91Mobiles, Both the cover and main displays on OnePlus One will feature a punch-hole camera.

The OnePlus Open will ship with OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13. In terms of battery, the device will be backed by a massive 4,800mAh battery with support to 100W fast charging.
