The OnePlus 12 launch date has finally been confirmed by company’s CEO Pete Lau on Monday. OnePlus 12 will be the latest flagship phone from the brand, which coincidentally started its journey 10 years back. Going by the launch teaser from Lau, OnePlus could also announce the new OnePlus Watch 2 model at the event as well.

OnePlus 12 Launch Date And Timings

The OnePlus 12 is launching in China on December 4 which marks the company’s 10th anniversary since its debut in the market when the OnePlus One came out with a lot of fanfare and the much talked about invite system to buy the phone. The event will start at 7:00 PM in China. Going by these timelines, it is likely that OnePlus 12 India launch could be in January 2024.

OnePlus 12 Launch: What We Expect

During OnePlus’ recent conference, it was revealed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a QHD+ (1,440 x 3,168) AMOLED display made by BOE. It will support a peak brightness of 2600 nits–making it brighter than some recent flagships, including the iPhone 15 Pro (2000 nits) and the Pixel 8 Pro (2400 nits). Recent benchmark leaks of the OnePlus 12 also suggest the phone will indeed be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the latest in the market.

The OnePlus 12 is expected to be a powerful upgrade not only because of the new AI chip on board but also the company rumoured to be using the new camera system developed with Hasselblad. The next OnePlus phone should also carry its fast-charging tech, at least 100W in the wired, while keeping the wireless speeds to 50W.

In addition to this, OnePlus Watch 2 could be another interesting product from the brand. It is already confirmed that OnePlus will be using the WearOS platform to power its new smartwatch which should make it more feature-rich than the first-gen OnePlus Watch.
