Oil refinery under attack in Ukraine; Pakistan faces unrest and fresh votes; more

Russian attacks destroyed an oil refinery in the central Poltava region and struck “critical infrastructure”, most likely oil facilities, near the port city of Odesa, local officials said on Sunday. Also, explosions were heard in the early hours of Monday in the cities of Kherson and Odesa, in the south, while air raid sirens sounded across the east.

Pakistan saw chaos in the national assembly on Sunday as the floor was set for a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. As the proceedings of no-truct vote started, the Speaker rejected the no-confidence motion, following which, President Arif Alvi dissolved the National Assembly (NA) on the advice of Prime Minister Khan.
