Officers’ Body Seeks Probe Into ‘assault’ Of 2 Govt Employees By Min | Bhubaneswar News – Times of India

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Statistics and Economics Officers’ Association has written to development commissioner, Pradeep Jena, seeking exemplary corrective initiatives for the safety and security of state cadre officers and for proper investigation into the alleged physical assault of two government employees by Union minister of state Bishweswar Tudu on January 21.
Pointing out that the duo was called for review at a time when the model code of conduct for panchayat election is in force, the association on Monday wrote that the two officers were severely beaten up, leading to fracture of their limbs. It further said frequent physical and mental assault by the minister has caused serious danger to the life, safety, security, self-respect, dignity and the morale of the officers.
The association also requested the government to ensure that public representatives don’t call the officers to their home, residence or party offices. TNN
