No need to submit student credit card to get loan Parent’s income certificate: Mamata

The student writes some paperwork on the credit card, which requires the parents to submit an income certificate. That’s nonsense. We have not kept any such clause. It has been lifted. There is no room for misunderstanding.

The Chief Minister claimed that 6,000 students were given student credit cards on the occasion. He also thanked the banks for participating in the project. Special thanks to Cooperative Bank.

Before the 2021 Assembly elections, the Mamata government launched the Student Credit Card Scheme. Credit cards have been issued at various times since then. Hundreds of students lined up at the door to apply for the government camp. Most of them have also received cards. They are supposed to get a loan of up to Rs 10 lakh for higher education through that card. But the complaint is that no bank wants to give loans on the basis of student credit cards. They are demanding various documents in addition to the documents prescribed by the government. The Chief Minister has threatened the banks more than once in this regard. But the work did not work.
