Nita Ambani Applies Tilak To Her Mother, Gets Blessings From Her At Anant and Radhika’s Mameru Ceremony | Watch – News18

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will tie the knot at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on July 13.

Social media is flooded with pictures and videos from Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Mameru ceremony which was held on Wednesday (July 3) at the former’s Mumbai residence, Antilia. In one of the clips that has now surfaced on social media, the groom-to-be’s mother, Nita Ambani is seen performing some rituals with her mother,  Purnima Dalal. She is seen applying tilak on her mother’s forehead and taking her blessings, while also feeding her some sweets. The happiness on Nita’s face is clearly visible.

Mameru, also known as Mosalu, is a traditional ceremony celebrated in Gujarati culture a few days before the actual wedding. In Mosalu, the groom’s mother’s family, in this case, members from Nita Ambani’s side of the family, led by her mother Smt. Purnima Dalal and her sister Ms. Mamta Dalal, visits the residence to bless the couple along with gifts and offerings. The groom’s maternal uncles and family present the bride and groom with a traditional set of gifts known as “Mameru.”

Anant and Radhika’s Mameru ceremony was also attended by some of the Bollywood stars including Janhvi Kapoor. She was snapped arriving at the venue with her boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya.

Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, are all set to tie the knot. Their much-awaited, grand wedding ceremony will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on July 13. Guests have started receiving the ‘Save The Date’ invitation, which is a traditional red and gold card, disclosing some details of the three-day function.

The wedding ceremonies will kick off on July 12. The first ceremony will be the auspicious Shubh Vivah or wedding function. The dress code is Indian traditional. July 13 will be the day of Shubh Aashirwad and the dress code is Indian formal. July 14 will be the Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception and the dress code is Indian chic. All these functions will be held at the Jio World Centre in BKC.
