Night hearing in Karnataka High Court on Ganesh festival: Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated for 3 days at Hubli Idgah ground; Judge said – no dispute on land

The hearing of the case in the Karnataka High Court started at 10 pm, which lasted till 10.33 am.

On Tuesday midnight, the Karnataka High Court heard the petition filed against the celebration of Ganesh festival at Hubli Idgah ground. During the hearing, the High Court said that no stay is being imposed on the decision of the municipality. Ganesh Utsav is allowed to be celebrated with certain conditions. After the decision of the court, now Ganesh Chaturthi can be celebrated for 3 days.

The hearing on the petition filed by Anjuman Islamia began at 10 pm in the chamber of Justice Ashok Kinagi, which lasted for about 33 minutes. During this time in the court, it was said on behalf of the government that the land is disputed, on which the court rejected it.

The petition was filed after the decision of the Supreme Court
The Supreme Court on Tuesday gave a ban on celebrating the Ganesh festival at the Bengaluru Idgah ground. A bench of Justice Indrani Banerjee said that status quo should be maintained for a few days in the matter of organizing Ganesh Chaturthi. Also said that instead of the Idgah ground of Chamarajpet, it can be done somewhere else. The Bench said that the decision of the Idgah land will be taken in the High Court.

After this order of the Supreme Court, Anjuman Islamia filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court seeking a ban on the Hubli Idgah ground as well.
