American actress Nicola Peltz has been heavily criticised by followers after sharing reportedly ‘weird’ photos to congratulate father-in-law David Beckham on his new Netflix docuseries.
Actress Nicola Peltz-Beckham has caused confusion among her fans by posting an unconventional tribute to her father-in-law, David Beckham, following a family reunion. The 28-year-old, accompanied by her husband Brooklyn, recently attended the premiere of David’s new Netflix docuseries titled Beckham. The four-part series, released recently, delves into the early life and career of David Beckham, the former Manchester United and England footballer. It features interviews with David, his wife Victoria, and other familiar individuals. The series had its premiere in central London on October 3, with David Beckham as the guest of honour, accompanied by his wife Victoria.
The couple, along with their children – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, and Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham and Romeo’s girlfriend Mia Regan, made a rare appearance as a complete family unit. Following the premiere event, Nicola took to Instagram to share a series of photos taken in her hotel room. These images included one of Nicola and Brooklyn in their bedroom, with Brooklyn kissing her cheek, and another in the bathroom, where she displayed her platform heels by lifting her leg. Additionally, there was a more provocative picture of Nicola, alongside Brooklyn in the background, which raised some eyebrows. Finally, Nicola shared a picture of the entire family on the blue carpet.

However, it was the caption accompanying these photos that puzzled her numerous followers. She wrote, “Last night was incredible congratulations David Beckham.” This caption led to immediate reactions in the comments section.
Several users expressed their confusion and discomfort, with one of them stating, “Weird choice and/or order of pictures to congratulate your father-in-law, one might say.”Another one commented, “Odd pictures when it was for her father-in-law’s premiere.”
A follower questioned, “Why would I mention my father-in-law in such pics with his son !!! So weird.” A follower of hers went the extra mile and wrote that they even unfollowed Nicola for this behaviour. “Unfollowed. Sorry super odd. Congratulations Beckham the legend. The rest in this post is uncomfortable,” the comment read.
“Very strange photos for congratulating your father-in-law.” another person added, “Why are the pics all about her when it’s for David Beckham? Also, the pics are such a strange choice. Idk weird,” the comment further said.
While the photos of the premier uploaded by Beckham’s daughter-in-law was gained widespread attention for all the wrong reasons, the footballer himself has been in the headlines for his new show. In this docuseries, viewers can reportedly witness never-before-seen footage that traces David Beckham’s remarkable journey from modest beginnings to becoming a global football icon. The first episode of the docuseries was released on October 4, 2023.
