Highway closed near Theog.
National Highway-5 connecting the Indo-Tibet border was completely closed for vehicular movement near Theog in Shimla. The National Highway (NH) was completely closed at a distance of about 400 meters from Theog bus stand. Due to this Upper Shimla has been completely cut off from the capital.

It is being told that due to the deep cutting of the well under construction on the spot, the road caved in around 8.45 am. After heavy rains last night, mud and stones started falling. Local people and working people are facing problems due to the closure of NH. Due to this, even the children in the area could not reach the school on time.
It is being claimed that the highway will be opened for small vehicles in some time, but there is little hope of opening the highway for buses and trucks today.
