The newly-constructed Rajpath is being decorated with two canvases 15 feet high each and a quarter of a kilometer on both sides.

This 26 January Republic Day celebration is going to be amazing and unprecedented. The biggest feature of this ceremony being held in the 75th year of independence is the parade to be held on the new Rajpath. Under the Central Vista Project, redevelopment works are underway on Rajpath from Vijay Chowk to India Gate, which are in the final stages. The special thing is that this time, for the first time, professionals selected through competition from all over the country will descend on the Rajpath.

The most unique aspect of ‘Drone Parade’ has been added to incorporate technology, swadeshi and innovation, which will make the parade memorable. The officials of the Defense Establishment told Bhaskar that this time four big initiatives have been taken to make the Republic Parade a Gana-Gana Parade. According to the Ministry of Defense, the construction of the necessary parts for the parade such as Rajpath, adjoining lawns, canals, parking areas and other parts under the Central Vista Project has been completed.

4 Underpasses and 8 Jan Suvidha Kendras were to be developed, but their work has not been completed. He will continue after the parade. The canals will also remain empty for now, they will be filled with water later. New light poles have been installed on Rajpath along the lawns and canal. To ensure smooth movement of VIPs during the parade, 16 pucca bridges have been built on the canals.

The practice of parade in pieces will start on the new Rajpath from Friday. Rehearsals will be held on January 17, 18, 20 and 21. Full dress rehearsal will take place on 23rd January as before. In view of the increasing cases of Corona, it has not been decided yet how many spectators will be allowed on the new Rajpath. But about 30 thousand terraced benches (bleachers) are ready.
