NEET UG 2023 Exam Tomorrow, Check Dress Code And Important Instructions

The National Testing Agency(NTA) is all set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET-UG) on May 7, 2023. Around 20,87,449 candidates will be appearing in the upcoming examination in 499 cities across India, as well as 14 cities outside of the country. It is crucial for students to be familiar with the dress code, exam day guidelines, timing, and essential documents that must be brought to the test centre. We are here with a list of guidelines to ensure a seamless and stress-free exam experience for candidates.

NEET Exam Timing

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is scheduled on May 7 between 2 pm and 5:20 pm. The exam will last for a total of three hours and twenty minutes, during which candidates will be required to answer 180 questions worth a total of 720 marks.

NEET Dress Code

Candidates appearing for the NEET UG 2023 Exam must adhere to the prescribed dress code, and they will be subjected to a frisking process using metal detectors. As a result, they are prohibited from carrying metallic and other prohibited items to the exam center. Check the dress code and lists of Barred items here:

  • Light clothes with long sleeves are not permitted. However, candidates may wear cultural/customary dress.
  • Shoes are not permitted, but slippers or sandals with low heels are allowed.
  • Ornaments or metallic items are not permitted inside the examination room.
  • If candidates are wearing garments with full sleeves, big buttons, badges, brooches, etc., which could be used to conceal tiny communication devices such as Bluetooth, camera, etc., they must be thoroughly checked with a metal detector held with a long handle.
  • Barred items include textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, mobile phone, Bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, wallet, goggles, handbags, belt, cap, watch/wristwatch, bracelet, camera, and any other similar item.

NEET UG Exam: Important Instructions

Students should report at least an hour before the reporting time.

Students must bring the below documents:

  • Admit card with a passport-size photograph affixed on it.
  • A Valid original identity proof and PwBD certificate (if applicable).
  • One passport-size photograph.
  • One postcard-size (4″x6″) color photograph with a white background to be pasted on the Proforma downloaded with the Admit Card, which must be handed over to the invigilator at the center.
  • Candidates are not allowed to bring water bottles, tea, coffee, cold drinks, or snacks into the examination center. However, candidates with diabetes may bring certain eatables (with prior intimation), such as sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) and transparent water bottles, into the examination hall. Packed foods like chocolate/candy/sandwich, etc., are not allowed.
