Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday (June 7, 2024) proposed the names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentary party and the leader of the NDA parliamentary party. He said, “Today we are gathered here to select the leader of the BJP parliamentary party, the leader of the NDA parliamentary party and the leader of the Lok Sabha. I think Narendra Modi’s name is the most eligible and suitable for all these posts.” Rajnath Singh further said that for the first time since 1962, a leader is going to become the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive time. Due to the vision of Narendra Modi, the NDA family has also grown. Alliance is not compulsion but commitment.
