SHARDIYA NAVRATRI 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers to Maa Chandraghanta, the third form of Goddess Durga, on the third day of Navratri, today on Tuesday, October 17. He also shared on X, formerly Twitter, a video of Goddess Chandraghanta stuti. In his post in Hindi, PM Modi wished that “with the blessings of the Goddess, the fame and glory of the countrymen should continuously increase.”

Navratri, one of the most vibrant and revered festivals in India, spans nine nights and ten days. It celebrates the divine feminine energy, embodied by Goddess Durga, who is worshipped in her various forms during this period.

Goddess Chandraghanta is the third manifestation of Maa Durga, and her name, “Chandra” (moon) and “Ghanta” (bell), signifies her unique appearance with a crescent moon adorning her forehead. The crescent moon is not only a symbol of beauty but also represents the constant evolution and transformation of life.
Maa Chandraghanta is depicted with ten hands, each holding different weapons and symbols, radiating strength, courage, and protection. Her complexion is said to be golden, signifying grace and prosperity.
On the third day of Navratri, devotees seek the blessings of Maa Chandraghanta for inner peace, bravery, and protection from negativity. Her grace empowers individuals to overcome obstacles and face life’s challenges with fortitude.
