State President Navjot Sidhu has played a new political gamble to bring Congress to power in Punjab. On Friday, Sidhu suddenly reached Labor Chowk in Mohali, where after meeting the workers, Sidhu announced the Urban Employment Guarantee Mission (UEGM) in Punjab.

Sidhu said that under this mission, below poverty line (BPL) card of every laborer will be made. They will get many facilities including free health and education. Sidhu said that the workers standing at the end of the queue are the most ignored, for whom he has come up with this new scheme in the Punjab model.

Collected construction cess but given it to whom?
Sidhu also raised questions on the government that construction cess is collected. This cess is for construction workers only. But to whom was it given? When no one is registered then how will anyone get the benefit? On the claim of giving 3100 rupees to the laborers of the present government, he said that only 1% of the laborers are registered in Punjab, then how will anyone get the benefit?

Called the captain a puppet again
Sidhu said that Captain Amarinder Singh was in power for the last four and a half years. He kept on dancing like a puppet to save his life. No work was done for the laborers and the palledars. Sidhu kept saying even before this that the Captain kept working on the behest of the BJP. The captain had nexus with the Akali Dal.

no external issue for us
Regarding the ongoing war between Punjabi and outsider in Punjab, Sidhu said that there is nothing like this for us. Earlier, Akali Dal is constantly playing bets on Punjabis. At the same time, CM Charanjit Channi also raised questions by calling the Aam Aadmi Party an outsider. Channi said that some outsiders want to rule Punjab.
