Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was released after serving ten and a half months in the 1988 road rage case, reached Delhi on Thursday. Where he has met Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Since his meeting, where supporters in Punjab Congress are talking about handing over new responsibility to him, this meeting is creating uneasiness for the opposing group.
Navjot Singh Sidhu uploaded his picture with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi on his Twitter account in the evening. Along with this, Navjot Singh Sidhu wrote – Today in New Delhi, I met my mentor Rahul ji and friend, philosopher, guide Priyanka ji.
You can put me in jail, threaten me, block all my financial accounts but my commitment to Punjab and my leaders will neither bow down nor move back an inch!!
Navjot Sidhu looking aggressive
Navjot Singh Sidhu has been looking aggressive ever since he came out of jail. However, he has vented his anger on the state and central government as well as CM Bhagwant Mann. But the effect of his every move is visible in the Punjab Congress as well. Navjot Singh Sidhu supporters have started gathering once again, which may create problems for Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding.
In Punjab, Rahul Gandhi sidelined Navjot Sidhu and made Charanjit Channi the CM face. Then Sidhu supported Rahul’s decision. After which Channi hugged Sidhu.
Sidhu had become an opponent of the Congress.
This is the first meeting of Navjot Singh Sidhu with Rahul Gandhi after the election defeat. When Charanjit Singh Channi was announced as the CM face before the elections, Navjot Singh Sidhu did not say anything, but the displeasure started showing in his action.
On the other hand, even when the Congress had to face a big defeat, Navjot Singh Sidhu was blaming Charanjit Singh Channi for it. In the end, he had to resign from the post of Punjab Chief. But after some time, on 20 May 2022, Sidhu had to go to jail in the road rage case.
