National Herald Case Update: The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday sealed the Young Indian office at the Herald House building in Delhi. Officials said the office was sealed as no one was available in the premises during the search and thus they were not able to complete the search.

The order reads that the “premises not be opened without prior permission” from the agency.

Earlier, it was reported that the ED had sealed the National Herald office.

The action comes after Enforcement Directorate raided the National Herald premises on Monday amid the ongoing probe money laundering probe allegedly involving Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

Earlier in the day, Sonia Gandhi, other Congress MPs’ entered the Well of the House in Lok Sabha protesting against ED actions and the Modi government.

Meanwhile, an additional police force have been deployed outside the AICC headquarters in Delhi

Reacting to the development, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh in a tweet said that the “Delhi Police blocking the road to AICC Headquarters has become a norm rather than an exception! Why have they just done so is mysterious…”

A few hours ago, Jairam Ramesh also tweeted, “17 Opposition parties, including TMC & AAP, plus one independent Rajya Sabha MP, have signed a joint statement expressing deep apprehensions on long-term implications of the recent Supreme Court judgement upholding amendments to PMLA, 2002 and called for its review.”
