NAGPUR: Central bureau of investigation (CBI) has caught red-handed joint commissioner of Central GSTNagpur-2, Mukul Patil, and a chartered accountant, identified as Hemant Rajandekar while accepting a bribe of Rs four lakh from a trader on Thursday.
They had demanded Rs 4.50 lakh.
During a search, cash around Rs five to six lakh was found from the residence of Patil apart from other valuables like gold and others.
Substantial cash was also found at the office of Patil but verifications are underway about their legality.
The action was supervised by Senior SP CBI MS Khan and Addl SP Sandeep Chougle.
