The Nagaland Board will hold the State Talent Search Examination in two levels – State and District

The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has announced the State Talent Search Examination (STSE) in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The exam is designed to identify and nurture young minds in these critical domains, establishing a solid foundation in STEM disciplines. The Nagaland Board will hold the STSE exam in two levels – State and District. Students studying in Class 9 are eligible to participate in the STSE 2024 Exam.

To take part in the STSE, all registered schools/ institutions are advised to submit 50 per cent of their Class 9 enrolment to the NBSE by Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Additionally, the schools will have to fill out the form available on the board’s official website at nbsenl.edu.in.

According to the official announcement, the STSE exam will be held in partnership with the Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to identify and develop young STEM potential.

NBSE STSE 2024: District-Level Exam

The first stage, a district-level test, is tentatively scheduled to take place on September 10 this year. Students who pass the district-level exam go on to the state-level exam, the second stage.

NBSE STSE 2024: State-Level Exam

The state-level test will take place in October 2024. During this stage, selected students will collaborate on a science or technology project that will benefit the community.

According to the participation rules, districts with up to 20 schools will send their top three students, districts with up to 50 schools will send the top five, and districts with more than 50 schools will send the top seven students based on the written exam.

Winners of the examination at the state level will get cash prizes as well as certificates in recognition of their accomplishments. In addition, all participants will receive certificates of participation. For more updates and related details, students can check the main NBSE site at nbsenl.edu.in.
