Mumbai police’s Economic Offences Wing arrests Bollywood film producer Parag Sanghvi – Times of India

Mumbai police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Monday arrested Bollywood film producer Parag Sanghvi in connection with a fraud case. A court sent Sanghvi to the custody of EOW till December 25, said Mumbai Police.

Meanwhile, in September this year, the Enforcement Directorate had conducted a raid at Sanghvi’s Mumbai properties, including his office and club in a money laundering case.

Sanghvi has been a part of the industry for more than 15 years as a producer, financer and distributor. His films include ‘Ab Tak Chappan’ 1 & 2, ‘Vaastu Shastra’, ‘Darna Mana Hai’, ‘Darna Zaroori Hai’, ‘Golmaal-Fun Unlimited’, ‘Ek Hasina Thi’, ‘Naach’ and many more.

He backed films like ‘Sarkar’, ‘Sarkar 3’,’ The Attacks of 26/11’ and ‘Chef’ under his banner.

In 2020, Parag collaborated with Eros Internation Group for two big movies. The details about the project are still under wrap with no updates from the same by the production house.
