Mumbai-Kandla Flight: The Spice Jet plane was not allowed to fly at the last moment

A Spice Jet plane was eventually grounded on Thursday as a precautionary measure. But the airline said there was no security risk.

According to sources, the Q 400 Spice Jet aircraft was supposed to fly from Mumbai to Kandla in Gujarat. But it didn’t take off at the last minute. The plane was eventually stopped on the runway, the statement said. After receiving the SOP, the crew members acted quickly. But there was no security risk.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Civil Aviation had on Wednesday ordered a 50 per cent reduction in flights for eight weeks to ensure safety issues. This special order was issued by DGCA in view of several incidents.

The plane was eventually brought back to the bay after it was grounded that day. Then the passengers were brought down safely. This is the second such incident on the Mumbai-Kandla route. A flight from Kandla to Mumbai landed safely on July 5. But it was seen that the plane’s wind shield was cracked in mid-air.

Meanwhile, a power problem was detected before a flight from Delhi to Kandla took off last Thursday. After that, a passenger tweeted the airline about it. However, the airline said that we prioritize the safety of passengers.
