Ramgarh: Ramgarh police on Monday found the body of a mukhiya named Mahesh Bediya from an abandoned mine of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) under Bhurkunda police station of Ramgarh district. He was missing since Sunday evening. Police said that the body has been sent for an autopsy and their inquiry on his death is underway.
Bediya (42), who was the mukhiya of Bicha panchayat under Patratu block, left his home on his motorcycle on Sunday for some work but did not return. “His body was found from an abandoned mine near Saunda-D project under Barka-Sayal area, 12 km away from his home,” a police official said. tnn
