Vadodara: The majority group in the M S University (MSU) won on four seats in three categories of the senate for which polls were held on Thursday.
In the most prestigious and high-profile election of the day for two seats in the donors’ category, Jigar Inamdar and Mayank Patel of Team MSU won with comfortable margins.
They got 88 and 90 votes against 11 and 29 of Pratik Joshi and Vrajesh Patel.
Kirankumar Patel won on the seat for the representative of the secondary school teachers.
He polled 464 votes against 77 by his nearest rival Arvindkumar Gandhi. Bhasker Desai won on the seat for the heads of the secondary schools.
He got 81 votes against 19 by Paresh Shah.
