MP News: Four killed in road accident, speeding car tramples workers working on the roadside, 12 injured

A speeding car trampled the laborers working on the road on the Mhow-Neemuch highway near Jamuniya village in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh. Four laborers died in the accident, 12 persons were injured. Seven laborers are among the injured and five people were in the car. All the laborers are residents of Aligarh and Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh. Those who have been admitted to the district hospital. The accused car driver has been arrested.

Ratlam SP Abhishek Tiwari has confirmed the incident. According to the information, the incident has been reported near Jamuniya Phante of Bilpank police station area of ​​Ratlam district. Some laborers were working on the culvert near Jamuniya. On Tuesday evening, a speeding car coming from Indore side got uncontrolled and trampled the workers. The accident was so terrible that four died on the spot.

There was outcry after the accident. As soon as the information was received, villagers and toll workers reached the spot and rescued the injured. The injured were shifted to the district hospital with the help of ambulances and loading vehicles. Ratlam Rural MLA Dilip Makwana also reached the hospital. Collector Narendra Suryavanshi and MLA Dilip Makwana instructed the doctors to provide better treatment to the injured people.

According to the injured, sign boards were also installed 100 meters away on the forelane. The speed of the car was fast. She suddenly came towards us, and didn’t even give a chance to recover. Some people were hit by the car and fell far away, those who got buried under the car died. Titu father Suresh (20), Vikas father Rakesh Kashyap (19), Hariom father Harprasad (22) and one other died in the accident. The deceased are residents of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.

Among the injured laborers are 18-year-old Deepak Kumar, father Jagmohan Sen, resident of village Mathna district, 17-year-old Yogesh father Mahesh, 32-year-old Manveer Singh father Mangal Singh, 31-year-old Ompal father Mangal Singh, 18-year-old Amit father Dalveer Singh, 17-year-old Chandu father Sher. Singh and 18-year-old Ashish’s father Nahar Singh are all residents of village Malikpura district Aligarh (UP). On the other hand, Saurabh Shailendra Jain (28) resident of Palace Road Ratlam, his mother Shalini Jain (52) and maternal grandmother Shanta Jain (75) resident of New Abadi Mandsaur have been admitted to the district hospital. Two other injured in the car have been taken to a private hospital.

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has expressed grief over the accident by tweeting. He wrote on Twitter that the sad news was received about the death of 4 laborers and injuries to 8 laborers in a road accident in Ratlam. May God give place to the dead souls in his holy feet. Wishing the injured a speedy recovery. The government is requested to provide appropriate ex-gratia amount to all the victim families.

Local MLA Dilip Makwana said that the incident will be investigated. Action will be taken against whoever is guilty. After discussing with the CM, discussions will be held with the CM for financial help to the relatives of the deceased and the injured.
