Once again Madhya Pradesh’s dunk has played in the results of the Swachhta Survekshan-2022. Madhya Pradesh has become the cleanest state in the country by overtaking Rajasthan-Maharashtra. Madhya Pradesh came at number-1 in the state having more than 100 cities. At the same time, Indore imposed a sixer of cleanliness. The rank of Bhopal has also improved as compared to last time. This time Bhopal has got the sixth position. Last time it was in seventh place. Indore has got 7 star rating in Garbage Free City, while Bhopal has got 5 stars.
The ranking of Madhya Pradesh was three in the last survey. The reason for this was the backwardness of Madhya Pradesh in the last year 2021 in citizen feedback i.e. active participation of the public. In this category, even the cleanest city of the country Indore did not get 6 thousand marks. Cities like Ujjain, Bhopal, Gwalior could not even score 5000 marks. This time the state did the best work in citizen feedback, due to which MP could become number-1.
Indore in Madhya Pradesh was the cleanest among the cities with a population of 10 lakhs. Indore MP Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava and Indore Corporation Commissioner Pratibha Pal receiving the award from the President.
Indore MP Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava and Corporation Commissioner Pratibha Pal received the cleanliness award at the hands of President Draupadi Murmu in the ceremony held in Delhi. Union ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Kaushal Kishor were also present on the occasion.

Madhya Pradesh stood at number one among the states having 100 cities.
4355 cities participated, Indore topped
In the year 2016, there were only 73 cities. Even then Indore was at number-1. Now 4355 cities were involved in this race. Nevertheless, Indore achieved the number-1 title.
The announcement of number-1 was celebrated fiercely in the Municipal Corporation premises. People danced with fireworks.
In the top 6 cities of cleanliness, Indore was at number 1 in Madhya Pradesh and number 6 in Bhopal.

Indore is coming at number-1 in the country since the year 2017. This time Indore had put full emphasis on putting sixer. Many innovations were also done for this. Full emphasis put in grooming the capital
In the capital Bhopal, the corporation had given full force for cleanliness and decoration. Special emphasis was laid on door-to-door garbage collection. Dry and wet waste was collected separately. At the same time, the timing of the arrival of vehicles in the streets was also corrected. Decoration of parks, innovation in new parks, washing of footpaths and central verges, painting of dividers were also done. Many works related to cleanliness including rally were done.

7500 Marks Survey
This time the survey was done for 7500 marks instead of 6000. In this, key points like feedback from the public, open defecation, door-to-door garbage connection, beautification were included. Apart from this, marks were also given on the basis of innovation and documents.
Number of awards increased in two years
A total of 27 honors were received by the state in the cleanliness survey-2020. In this, 18 cities were for star rating and 9 cities for Swachh Survekshan. At the same time, a total of 35 awards were received in the 2021 survey.

Many paintings related to cleanliness were made in Bhopal. In other cities including Indore, people were made aware through painting.
