Monsoon weakened in Himachal: Less than normal rainfall in the last two days; Weather forecast to remain clear for next three-four days

Monsoon has started weakening in Himachal Pradesh after a bang. It rained heavily between 24 and 27 June. But, during the last two days, it has rained less than normal. Even on June 29, there has been 43% less rainfall than normal. There are less chances of rain for the next three to four days.

The Meteorological Department had issued an orange alert of heavy rains for today two days ago, but in the latest bulletin rain is forecast only at a few places. Light sunshine can bloom in most parts of the state from today for the next 72 hours.

13 mm of rain in Kufri in 24 hours

During the last 24 hours, the maximum rainfall of 13 mm has been received in Kufri. Sirmaur’s Dholakuan received 11 mm of rain, Nahan 7 mm and Kangra 5 mm. Due to heavy rains during the past days, 37 roads are still closed. Due to this the movement of people is also being affected.

The maximum temperature fell 2.7 degrees below normal

After the monsoon rains in the state, the maximum temperature has dropped 2.7 degrees below normal. The maximum temperature was recorded with Una at 35 degrees, Shimla at 22.8 degrees, Dharamsala 28, Manali 23.6, Hamirpur 33.1, Bilaspur 31.5 degrees and Mandi 32.2 degrees.

219 crore flattened in 4 days

Government and private property worth Rs 219 crore has been destroyed due to four days of rain in the state. Due to heavy rains, 5 houses were completely damaged, 39 houses were partially damaged, two shops and 21 cow sheds were completely destroyed in the state.

Due to this, more than 26 crores have been damaged in various fruits.

20 people died, 36 injured

According to the State Disaster Management Authority, 20 people have died, three are missing and 36 injured due to various reasons during the monsoon season from June 24 to 29.

Of these, 9 died in road accidents, 6 by drowning in a river, 3 by falling from roof-tops or high places, one by landslide and one due to other reasons. Similarly, 352 domesticated cattle of the people have also become the victim of famine in the rainy season.

10 incidents of landslide

There have been 10 major incidents of landslides during the monsoon season. Incidents of cloudburst in Sujanpur and floods have been reported at 6 places in Kothi Nala, Bagi Mandi, Mohal Kullu, Pajehi Khad, Kinnaur.
