So far 179 people have died in Assam due to floods and landslides
In Assam, 26 districts have been affected by the floods. In these, about 1618 villages of Bajali, Barpeta, Vishwanath, Cachar, Chirang, Darang, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Kamrup, Nagaon, Kamrup Metropolitan, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigaon were affected by the floods. . At the same time, a total of 47198.87 hectares of crop land has been damaged.

The Assam government is running 365 relief camps in the districts, in which more than 2.78 lakh people are residing.

Five more people have died in the state in the last 24 hours. With this the total death toll in floods and landslides this year has risen to 179. While Nagaon reported two deaths, Karimganj, Lakhimpur and Sivasagar districts reported one death each. The impact has also been read on 5 lakh domestic animals and poultry in 12 districts of the state.

In Assam, the Brahmaputra has submerged Nemati Ghat in Jorhat, Dhubri and Tezpur, while Kopili in Dharamatul in Nagaon, Disang in Nangalmuraghat in Sivasagar and Burhidihing at Khowang in Dibrugarh were flowing above the danger mark.

Bihar: Light rain likely
