Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the children honored with the National Child Award today. According to the news agency, the program will start from 4 pm on Tuesday evening at the Prime Minister’s residence. During this, Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani and Minister of State Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai will also be present.

Earlier, President Draupadi Murmu honored 11 children with the Prime Minister’s National Child Award (PMRBP) at Vigyan Bhavan on Monday. Among the awardee children, 6 are boys and 5 are girls. These children have been selected from different regions of the country for the categories of innovation, social service, educational, sports, art-culture and bravery.

Award given in 6 different categories
Every year the Central Government gives these awards to the children for their extraordinary achievements. These awards are given in 6 different categories to children in the age group of 5 to 18 years, who are eligible for national recognition. All award winners are given a medal, Rs 1 lakh and a certificate. Bal Puraskar winners also take part in the Republic Day Parade every year.

This year the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar has been given to 11 children selected from all regions of the country, 4 in art and culture, 1 for bravery, 2 for innovation, 1 for social service and 3 for sports.

Modi honored 29 children virtually last year
Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) through video conferencing. He handed over the prize money to the children through digital certificates and blockchain technology. 61 children from across the country were selected for these awards. During this, Modi also congratulated the children who received the award.

PM Modi will discuss the exam on January 27
The next day of Republic Day i.e. on January 27, PM Modi will participate in the discussion program on examination with children. The Prime Minister will interact with children regarding board exams, as well as give them tips regarding exam preparation. The program will be held at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi. This is the sixth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha programme.
