Mizoram’s college set a precedent, only one institution from the North-East in the first 100 list

Pachunga University College is the oldest higher education institution in the northeastern state of Mizoram. This college in Mizoram set a precedent. This educational institution is ranked 45th in the list of National Institutional Banking Framework as the first college in the state. There are no more North-Eastern colleges in the list published by the Union Ministry of Education. The 64-year-old Pachunga University College is the first post-graduate college in the state. It is one of the 35 colleges under Mizoram University. Earlier, no college of Mizoram University could make it to the top 50 of NIRF.

Earlier in 2020, Pachunga University College was ranked between 101 and 150. 2021 college bank collapse. It goes from 151 to 200. However, in 2022, this college of Mizoram ranked 45th with 56.32 percentile. Miranda House under Delhi University occupied the top spot in the list of colleges. Hindu College (DU) is second and Presidency College, Chennai is third. Meanwhile, two colleges of Medinipur have made it to the top 100 list of India. Raja Narendralal Khan Mahila Mahavidyalaya is ranked 73rd in the list. On the other hand, the ranking of Medinipur College is 97.

Meanwhile, Mizoram University has occupied the 78th position in the list of universities. Calcutta University ranked among the top ten best universities in the country. According to the central ranking, Calcutta University has been ranked eighth in the country this time. But it has decreased a bit from last time. Kolkata University was ranked fourth last time. Meanwhile, Jadavpur University has occupied the fourth place in the list.
