Party leaders are trying their best to save Karnataka, the only state of BJP’s account in South India. Along with the entire BJP team, leaders from the South Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra are being specially deployed.

While the Congress campaign in the state rests on state president DK Shivakumar and former CM Siddaramaiah, the BJP’s on the central leadership as well as former CM BS Yeddyurappa. In the beginning of this year itself, the visits of central leaders of BJP have increased. PM Modi has visited the state 7 times, Shah 8, Nadda 10 times.

On March 24, Home Minister Amit Shah was on a tour of Karnataka. He met BS Yeddyurappa, during which most of the time Yeddyurappa's son Vijayendra (rear) remained close to Amit Shah.

PM Modi has toured the entire state except coastal Karnataka. He laid the foundation or inaugurated projects worth 40 thousand crores. National Coordinator and Political Analyst of Lokniti Network, Prof. Sandeep Shastri says that the central leadership in the state is handling the campaign.

It is not bringing out the achievements of the state government. Nor is propping up state leaders. It only talked about Yeddyurappa who is not contesting the elections. The BJP government is facing anti-incumbency. This is the reason why its leaders are only talking about the works of the central government.
