The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), a vital administrative institution responsible for selecting candidates for civil services in the state of Bihar, conducts an annual recruitment examination to fill crucial administrative vacancies. While countless aspirants undergo years of rigorous preparation and coaching, a remarkable success story emerges in Abhishek Kumar, who, through sheer determination and self-study, has triumphed in clearing the BPSC recruitment exam. Abhishek is a resident of Lavapur Narayanpur in Vaishali district, Bihar. His father, Pawan Jha, is a retired Havildar in the Indian army. Since the beginning, Abhishek has been good at studying and used to score very well in his school examinations. He completed 12th grade at RPS College, Mahnar, and later did his graduation from Samastipur. After his graduation, he was sure that he wanted to join government service. As a result, he started preparing for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) and the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Even though many people opt for coaching while preparing for government-level competitive exams, Abhishek kept his focus and relied on self-study. He knew that he was always good at studying and used his strategies to clear the exam. He had always trusted himself and focused on his studies during this period. Abhishek revealed that he had cleared the BPSC recruitment preliminary exam on his first attempt but could not clear the mains. In his second attempt, he cleared the mains but could not reach the final stage. Finally, in his third attempt, Abhishek cleared the BPSC recruitment examination by securing the 171st rank.

Now, he will serve as Assistant Director in the Social Security Cell of the Social Welfare Department. Abhishek revealed that he is quite happy to achieve this success in his life. But he also plans to give the UPSC CSE in a few years. He also added that he didn’t rely on any coaching and used to study for 9 hours a day.
