Mathura priests demand ban on Radhika for ‘hurting religious sentiments’ at Sunny Leone’s Madhuban – India Times Hindi News – Henry Club

Sunny Leone is currently making headlines for her recently released song Madhuban for Radhika as the priests of Mathura have demanded a ban on it for allegedly hurting her religious sentiments. The song sung by Kanika features Sunny in a music video that was launched on YouTube by Saregama Music Company on Wednesday. The song is composed by Sharib and Toshi, while Ganesh Acharya has choreographed the dance number. Soon after its release, there was criticism from a certain section of people before priests demanded a ban on it.

The song is a remake of Mohammed Rafi’s popular song Madhuban Mein Radhika Nache from Dilip Kumar and Meena Kumari’s film Kohinoor. The saints have accused Sunny of “hurting” the “religious sentiments” of Hindus by calling her dance “obscene”. Objecting to the song, Sant Naval Giri Maharaj (Sant Naval Giri Maharaj) of Vrindavan demanded strict action from the government against the actor-dancer.

“If the government doesn’t take action against the actress and ban her video album, we will approach the court,” he added. He further said that if Leone does not remove his scenes from the film, then he should not be allowed to stay in India. Sing and apologise.

Mahesh Pathak, national president of Akhil Bharatiya Teerth Purohit Mahasabha, also objected to Sunny’s dance video, saying he has tarnished the reputation of Brijbhoomi by presenting the song in an “derogatory manner”.

Since the song is on the theme of the love between Krishna and Radha, some viewers have even slammed it for hurting Hindu sentiments because of the “erotic” dance moves featured in it.
