Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan has been booked for allegedly making insensitive remarks against actress Trisha. As reported by The Hindu, an enquiry was conducted on November 21 against Mansoor following which a case has been filed against the actor. Reportedly, Mansoor Ali Khan has been booked under Section 354 A (sexual harassment) and Section 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to outrage modesty of woman).

NCW Had Asked Tamil Nadu DGP To Take Action Against Mansoor Ali Khan

Mansoor Ali Khan has been booked days after the National Commission For Women (NCW) asked Tamil Nadu DGP to take action against the actor. “The National Commission for Women is deeply concerned about the derogatory remarks made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan towards actress Trisha Krishna. We’re taking suo motu in this matter directing the DGP to invoke IPC Section 509 B and other relevant laws. Such remarks normalize violence against women and must be condemned,” the NCW statement issued last month read.

What Had Mansoor Said Against Trisha?

Recently, a video went viral on social media in which Mansoor Ali Khan said in Tamil, “When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought I would carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes and it’s not new to me. But these guys didn’t even show Trisha to me on the sets during the shoot in Kashmir.”

How Had Trisha Reacted To Mansoor’s Comments?

Later, Trisha also broke silence on Mansoor Ali Khan’s comment and called it “sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive”. “A recent video has come to my attention where Mr Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile manner. I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive, and in bad taste. He can keep wishing, but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him, and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind,” she wrote on X.
