Manisha Gulati, the chairperson of the Punjab Women’s Commission, has been removed from the post. His extension has been canceled by the Aam Aadmi Party government. He was removed from this post only last month, but Manisha Gulati moved the High Court. After which the Punjab government took a U-turn and withdrew its decision.

Let us inform that Captain Amarinder Singh appointed Manisha Gulati as the chairperson of the Punjab Women’s Commission when she was the Chief Minister. After this, on 18 September 2020, the Punjab government gave a three-year extension to the post of Chairperson of the Women’s Commission. When the government changed, Manisha Gulati also joined the Bharatiya Janata Party after Captain Amarinder Singh, but due to the extension, her chair was saved.

Last month’s extension was canceled
The Aam Aadmi Party had canceled Manisha Gulati’s extension only last month. After which there was an uproar and Manisha Gulati moved the High Court. After Manisha Gulati went to the High Court, the Mann government took a U-turn and canceled the decision taken against Manisha Gulati.
