MANGALURU: An MBBS intern of a private hospital was found hanging in her apartment room on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Vaishali Gaikwad (25) who hails from Bidar.
It is learnt that she was sharing an apartment with another friend on the 12th floor and that they were both staying in separate rooms.
The incident came to light at 10.45am, when a friend of the deceased tried to reach out to her over the phone.
When she did not receive calls, her friend rushed to the apartment to find her hanging from the ceiling fan.
A case has been registered in the Ullal police station.
Personal issues are suspected to be the reason for the victim to take the extreme step. An investigation is on .
