With over 32 districts affected by the flood water, water levels are rising above the danger level resulting in the displacement of people from their homes. However, amid the dire conditions, a video of a father bringing his newborn baby home in Assam’s Silchar has gone viral on the internet.

According to officials, the flood situation in Assam worsened on Tuesday, affecting 55 lakh people across 32 districts and claiming 7 more lives. In the Kaziranga National Park, 42 of the total 233 camps have been swamped by flood water.
